"You....," Harkesh roared. "Which deity mandate do you carry?"
"I bear the mandate of the Comet God," Magnus said simply. "He is the sojourner of the—"
"I don't care to know," Harkesh cut him off, turning back to the members of the church. "Do you all see this? I spoke about this not too long ago about an imposter deity coming within our ranks to confuse and befuddle our faith."
Already, some of the crowd looked torn. Wasn't an instant healing spell a boon their deity alone could grant?
Actually, Harkesh's reaction was especially exaggerated because, amongst the deities, the Moon God was the only one in Beklis City whose domain was linked to healing. Having another deity suddenly pop out of nowhere with their Oracle displaying the capacity of granting direct healing boons. left a bitter taste in Harkesh mouth.
