The first thing Master Lin asked was, "How is it? What happened?"
Kong Xiang shook his head, his brain a bit foggy.
"I don't remember," he said after a while. "It feels like my mind wandered to somewhere far away."
Master Lin approached him and gingerly activated a minor aura observing spell first, confirming first if it was now safe to try to examine Kong Xiang's condition. There was no backlash, so he body activated his optic spell.
Intrinsically, Master Lin could see that the glyphs in Kong Xiang's blood cells had totally mutated, now forming miniature imprints of a tree instead.
"It's the tree that appeared earlier," Master Lin recognized it. Kong Xiang watched his master's pondering look and squinted his eyes.
