Lin Geng reappeared thirty seconds later, looking valiant and heroic.
"Let's go," he said, totally pretending nothing had happened.
Kong Xiang stopped laughing and resumed flight with his Senior Brother. He stealthily stole a couple of glances at him; Lin Geng was radiating a newfound aura of confidence.
"Good," Kong Xiang thought.
They flew back in silence.

Kong Xiang received a voice transmission from his Master to go see him first, so he activated the teleportation process for Room One when he got back to his Master's Tower. Lin Geng did not come back with him, going to the General Exchange Tower instead to register his new cultivation base and update his information in the Sect's database to increase his rank and allocation.
"Sit," Master Lin said. He looked fatigued, probably recovering from his battle with the Sea God.
Kong Xiang sat and looked around curiously. He did not see the altar anywhere.
