"Are there any rewards for me?" Kong Xiang asked.
Master Lin was speechless, "Think of it as a way of proving your worth."
"I thought discipleship missions were reserved only for common folks," Kong Xiang smirked. "Shouldn't the trademark of geniuses be that they don't have to prove themselves—their genius speaks for itself?"
Master Lin ignored his glib tongue. "You have to bring me the corpse of a divine beast or a ferocious beast in half a year. That's how long you have."
He waved his hand and teleported Kong Xiang out of his island.
"I kind of like his glib tongue, he he," Master Lin chuckled when he was now alone. But his forehead wrinked afterwards. He said, "But it's strange, he feels somehow familiar. Almost like I know him from somewhere."
