"Oh?" Kong Xiang's interest was piqued. "So, if I come under the tutelage of your Master, I'll be the grand disciple of the Sect Master?"
"If?" The young man, Lin Geng, laughed arrogantly. "There is no 'if.' Did you not hear what I said—my Master has already taken you in as his disciple. You don't have a say in this."
Kong Xiang frowned slightly.
"In that case, pardon my manners, then," Kong Xiang said, his tone laced with hidden sarcasm. "But, are their any extra benefits under Master's tutelage?" If there wasn't, Kong Xiang planned to vehemently reject the discipleship, not minding if anyone got offended.
The young man shook his head. He said, "Most certainly. Master personally instructs his personal disciples from time to time, and given how few we are under his tutelage, we have almost 400% more resources allocated to us than the other disciples in the Inner Sect."
Kong Xiang's irritation vanished immediately. He put on a warm smile.
