When Kong Xiang had first arrived in Vega, he relied on spirit force to perform hypnosis techniques and had noticed it wasn't restricted, unlike origin qi. Thus, he had the idea to create a different cultivation path; one that utilized spiritforce instead of origin qi.
However, there were no spirit nourishing materials or soul stones in Vega at all, so Kong Xiang had to find another way to provide the corresponding spirit power source.
