Chapter 55 - Battle(2)

"Seal" Kong Xiang shouted authoritatively, seizing the heavenly forces as his Seal Domain manifested. Qi movement within the restricted vicinity, save for Kong Xiang's immediately ceased. With another thought from him, a lightning cloud appeared at the boundaries of the domain and closed in, morphing into the form of a seal and encapsulating the sentient ink cloud in it.

HISS.

It hissed as it tried to pierce through, to no avail. It struggled furtively in the process, generating a piercing shriek that left one feeling rather lightheaded. The brothers, who were already on the verge of unconsciousness, finally. Kong Xiang ignored this fact, overdrafting himself and unleashing even more sealing intent-infused lightning qi to complete the seal. Slowly, the sounds ceased, and he finally succeeded.

He leaned on the frame for support, feeling exhausted. He hadn't felt this drained since the battle from months ago, and this was despite the fact that he had experienced a leap in strength over the months. He looked curiously at the unknown 'object' that had required him so much energy to restrain. It floated in the air, encapsulated withing a fortified lighning seal. He conjured a lightning palm that grabbed it, bringing it to him.

He waved his hands, and two qi lights flew out of his sleeves to the unconscious brothers. They woke up instantly.

"Benefactor..." Lu Ming began, but Kong Xiang waved him shut. His Nature Domain manifested, and the brothers felt a warm nourishing current wash their bodies, healing the fractures and wounds they had just gained in battle a moment ago. Even some of their old ailments and injuries magically vanished.

Lu Min stared in disbelief at his right calf which had previously held an unsightly permanent scar from a nasty fall some years back. Now, the area looked as tender as a newborn's skin. Tentatively, he touched it, feeling the smooth, soft texture.

His elder brother's attention was focused instead on the floating seal tightly grasped in Kong Xiang's hands.
