Li Luo was currently in the wilds battling a peak Soldier Class Red Horned Rhinoceros. Her fists shone with Origin Energy as she executed the Fort Breaking Fist over and over again.
Her execution became more flawless as time passed, as she incorporated her newly obtained foot technique. The Red Horned Rhinoceros was enraged and vented its frustration in frenzy by increasing the frequency of its fireballs attacks.
Ding Xiaolong made Kong Xiang a deal in the shop. They wouldn't have to pay any money for the martial arts and techniques they wanted, but Kong Xiang had to examine her ill brother and see if his Nature Qi was of any help. Kong Xiang had agreed, taking four scrolls and Li Luo took two. They parted ways then, as Li Luo was eager to go to the wilds to familiarize herself with her newfound powers, and of course to obtain beast cores for trading.
Her comprehension skills were insane, as she gained initial mastery of both skills in battle with the beast in front of her. Even better, her comprehension was increasing rapidly. From the looks of things, by the end of the day, she would have reached advanced mastery of the techniques.
The Red Horned Rhinoceros was in despair and regretful it provoked this mad woman in the first place. About an hour ago, it came across Li Luo plucking some Spirit Fruits from a tree. When she saw it, she gave way, clearly indicating she meant no harm.
Unfortunately for it, three humans had once come to its territory with the intention of obtaining some of its blood. Their strength was weaker than its own, but they had cooperated almost seamlessly to incapacitate it and extract some of its blood essence. Worse still, they let it go and frequently came back to do the same thing. Eventually, it moved its territory, escaping its fate as a essence blood producing machine. As a demon beast, its pride was injured, and it bore an endless grudge against all humans.
It had awakened its bloodline twice and was on the verge of another awakening. Such strength gave it more than enough strength to wantonly slaughter the mercenaries and commoner hunters that were unfortunate enough to come across it.
In its mind, it had assumed Li Luo would be of similarly weak strength and consequently refused to compromise and attacked her, despite her attempt at not fighting.
Li Luo did not back down and reiterated. While she had refused to fight at first due to her unfamiliarity with martial arts, she was not one to back down from a challenge. Right there in battle, she began to multitask, comprehending battle techniques as she fought on.
The result was that it was slaughtered in an hour. Looking at the huge carcass beneath her, she discovered something.
She loved the thrill of battle.
The rush of adrenaline that flowed through her veins during battle was so thrilling. Wishing to bask in that feeling again, she decided to stop looking for Spirit herbs and focus on hunting for beast cores.
After digging the partially formed core of the Rhinoceros, she began a quest of battle. She had no idea that she caught the notice of an expert who happened to be meditating in a cave miles away from her.
After her fifteenth kill, she found herself facing a curious looking older woman. She was about to speak when she found herself in the woman's arm, unable to move her body.
The woman took out a weird looking object and used it to scan her, her eyes lighting up in surprise, then delight afterwards. She then looked at Li Luo with a glint in her eyes, then let go of her, vanishing from sight soon afterwards.
Li Luo regained her mobility a while later, and the confusion in her eyes was clear to see. After a while, she decisively shook it off and rushed on to vent on the demon beasts.
