Sophia p.o.v
Once she saw me she stood up and introduced herself as Maria and she seemed nice, I also introduced myself and quickly realized that I had to send an email to samra and the rest.
"Sorry if I ignored after introducing myself I just had to send some files to my group and it nice to meet you too by the way" I said as I finally finished sending the emails.
"Its ok, I can see you're busy anyway so I'll let you finish your work and besides we are roommates,we will have enough time to know each other" she said as she was reading a book.
"Right we have time, it's just I spent a whole night preparing for the project I just hope we will win the project" I said as I finally sent the last email.
I closed my laptop and walked towards my bed, I was super tired and didn't want to stay at samra's house. The image of Brian lying his head on the sofa came to my head.
I couldn't help myself to smile at his cute sleepy face, so I turned off the light of my side and slept.
I was woken up by the Ray of the sun which lightened the room through the curtains, I sat on the bed and checked my phone.
I realized that I was going to be late for the class so i quickly got ready and looked for my laptop and found it lying on the table where I left it.
I was about to leave when I saw maria still sleeping and I went to wake her up but she refused saying she had no class so I made her something to eat before I left the dorm.
I reached the class and luckily the teacher came in as I sat down. I looked around for my group since we were going to present the project together but no one was around.
After everyone was done I was the last group to present our project, still no one came even when they were late.
"Sophia are you ready?" The teacher miss brown asked as she saw me looking around the class.
"Am ready but none of my mates are here can we wait for them for a minute?" I asked still looking around.
"Actually Brian wont be here he took a leave because his mom is in the hospital but for the rest I haven't received word from them" she said.
"That's that mean you're going to fail us because I can't do this alone it's a group project for starters?" I asked her.
"I guess I can give you time till tomorrow for you and your group to do it together i can't give you the points alone it's a group work for a reason" she said.
"Thanks for giving us a chance, you wont be disappointed I promise" I said feeling relieved because I wasn't ready to fail this project after spending the whole night doing the work alone.
After the class was over I left the class and texted samra but she didn't reply the text. So I called her almost the whole day but she didn't answer.
I decided to call Brian, since he didn't come and had an emergency, he didn't answer too so I tried one more time luckily he finally answered.
"Hello, Brian? Hey how are you doing?" I asked as he answered.
"Whose this?" He asked as he sounded like he just woke up from sleep.
"Its me Sophia, I heard you are in the hospital,how's your mom doing?" I asked him.
"She's fine,the scary part is over for once I thought I would lose her" he said as his voice was cracking as if he was crying.
"Am glad to hear that, is it alright with you if you send me the name of the hospital you are in I would like to see your mom if that's not a problem?" I asked knowing he was probably with samra.
But I wanted to be there for him as a friend, he was quite for a second then I heard him laugh and I was glad that he was probably hoping to have someone to be there with him.
"Yeah i would love that,I'll send you the address and thanks for calling me " he said then ended the call.
After a while he sent me the address and I went back the dorm to get myself ready to go to the hospital.
"Hey sophia ,thanks for the food, I made you something " maria said as I entered the room.
"You're welcome, what's that?" I asked as I saw her preparing food on the table.
"Oh! This I wanted us to have lunch, since you made me breakfast its away to say thanks again" she said as she put a plate on the table.
"Thanks but I have to go and meet someone, do you mind keeping some for me,I'll be back later" I said as I took a some clothes and headed to the bathroom.
After preparing myself, I left the dorm and looked at my phone as I left the campus to see if Brian sent me the address of the hospital he was in.
I took a taxi and headed there, as I walked in, I went to the receptionist and asked about Brian's mom luckily as I was waiting I saw Brian at the lobby.
He looked like he was tired and probably didn't sleep, I called his name and he turned to look as he saw me he gave me a small smile.
"You came, I didn't know that you would actually be here, thanks" he said as he faintly smiles.
Note to mention, he has a cute smile and small dimple on his left cheek. We walked to the room where his mom was admitted and his young brother was sleeping on the couch.
"How is she doing now?" I asked as his mom was sleeping.
"Thankfully she is out of trouble, it was really scary when she couldn't breathe and for a second I th...thought I was going to lose her for ...li..life" he said trying not to break down.
"Am sorry I didn't know that she was sick, she barely looked like one when I once came to see you" I said as I saw her through the window.
It was hard to recognize her as sick person, I guess I didn't pay much attention to her appearance.
"Thanks for coming and sorry you had to present our group project by yourself" he said sounding apologetic.
"Its ok thankfully miss brown gave us until the end of this week to present it again as a group" I said trying not to sound annoyed.
Knowing the fact he was struggling with his personal life but I didn't see samra anywhere thinking maybe he had told her and she will come anytime soon.
"So have you told samra about...this?" I asked don't know why I did but since they were seeing each other I thought of asking him.
"No I didn't but its weird that I saw her this morning at the lobby with Martha I think her boyfriend got into an accident" he said after drinking water he was holding.
"Martha's boyfriend had an accident, that explains why she didn't come to class" I said after finding out why no one showed up this morning.
"Sorry I thought you knew, I guess we left you hanging after doing the work by yourself,am sorry for not helping you with it" he said as he stood up from the chair.
"No need to apologise it's not like you missed class on purpose, you had somebody to take care of and I understand so don't be hard on yourself" I said forgetting that I was mad at them for ditching me.
"So..Sophia, hi ,what are you doing here?" Samra asked as she approached us.
"I came to see Brian, miss brown informed us that he didn't come because his mom was here so I came to see how's doing" I said.
"That's great actually sorry for not helping you with the presentation, Martha's boyfriend... he..u.." she said stammering.
"I know it's ok, its not like you wanted to miss it on purpose either I understand and how is he her boyfriend?" I asked as I looked behind her.
"He's fine thankfully it was a minor injury so she's fine too martha" she said smiling at me.
"Am glad everyone is fine, I better go before it starts raining " I said as we heard the thunder.
"I was also leaving mind if I join you?" She asked.
"Its ok, don't you want to stay with Brian am sure he will need some company?" I asked as I looked at him.
"Its fine actually, you two have class tomorrow and I'll be back in two days after she gets well" he said.
"Tw..two days? Are you sure you're going to be fine,if you want I can stay and Sophia can send us school work right?" She asked as she walked towards him.
"Its fine I don't mind helping you guys and I wish her a quick recovery " I said as I looked at his mom who was still sleeping.
"Thanks Sophia, for coming and helping me I truly appreciate your help" he said as he smiles.
His dimple appears which made him look adorable and cute.
"Same here Sophia and sorry again" she said apologising.
"No problem, just take care and call me if you need anything " I said.
I know it hurts knowing that my crush has a girlfriend but my heart wants him so bad.
Is this bad,wrong but Falling for him already.....
