Jake slowly came towards the line which belonged to the eastern camp and stood beside it(not in it).
"I suppose I can participate in the competition too," Jake said.
"Yes, you can. Kindly give us some more time to include the newly arrived participant into the fixtures, and then we can proceed with the matches." The judge asked his underlings to redraw the fixtures as an entirely new person had arrived.
"Where were you?" Lu Shen came near Jake to ask.
"I was busy training late last night and didn't know when I fell asleep. I rushed here as soon as I woke up." Jake said while pointing at his soiled clothes, dirty from prolonged use during training. "Anyways, I didn't expect the fan following to be so high."
Jake looked around and found an almost unending crowd waiting for the matches to begin. It felt the same when he was fighting within the hunter examination in Avalon City.
