The energy was so powerful that some elders had difficulty breathing. The previously hostile atmosphere was suppressed with a wave of absolute strength. All the Grand Elders and Tang Shen looked at Jake with surprise. They had never expected such strength from a junior. Even Hell-Flame showed a hint of surprise in his glance.
" We apologize for the behaviour of our elders." Tang Lin said as he glanced at the elder with a deathly stare. If looks could kill, this would have been it.
"No worries. It is customary for maggots to try and leech on beings beyond them. Crushing them beneath one's feet is customary, but I feel festive today, so I will let it go." Jake said.
"Three times is a bit too much." Tang Shen spoke.
"So, was trying to kill me, but hey, that didn't stop you from doing it," Jake said. "This is a demand. If not acceptable, the deal is off."
The situation grew tense, but a voice calmed it down.
