Asad grabbed the piece of paper and read through it. His expression turned excited by the time he finished up. He was ecstatic. To think that he was wondering about how to get back at the family head when the best chance was served to him on a silver platter. How could he let go of such an opportunity.
"How very shameful?" Asad said.
"Yes it is. I mean, we did know that the family head had a soft corner for his two children and would sometime decide to put them forward, but we never expected that he would be so shameful as to fall to this extent just to save a useless brat." Shila said.
She then turned around to face the entire elder assembly.
"For those who don't already know, the patriarch paid the enemy with around four A-rank artifacts and a lot of resources whose list will be circulated to you." The entire elder council began to murmur at an even louder form. No one dared to interfere the murmur this time.
