Jake didn't been looked back, as if he was confident that none of the enemy troops were going to attack. While he returned to the location where Robert was isolating himself, he continued to read the letter and laugh even more. This was unprecedented. He expected that the family would just throw some random A-rank artifact at him but this was a legitimate payment in equivalence to Karim's life.
