Two head escorts suddenly appeared near Jake's location, and Simon waved his hand back to blast off one of the escorts to a faraway place, the second one though managed to grab hold of Karim and jump back, creating distance between him and Simon.
"So that is their objective." Jake made a casual statement with an expression of surprise. to everyone else it might look like he didn't expect this event, but an experienced set of eyes like Simon's knew that Jake did this for a reason. He couldn't understand why he would let go of leverage like that, but the situation demanded his attention.
"So, what were you trying to do?" Simon asked the two head escorts.
"We didn't try to do anything. We tried to resolve the matter peacefully but it was your captain who attacked us."
