Lucas was playing in the living room, but when he thought of Maisy, he was a little anxious. Ever since Maisy's trip to the capital, he hadn't seen his mother for a long time. Even though he had always thought of himself as a very capable child who could solve everything on his own, he still missed Maisy every night. Lucas glanced at the wall clock in the living room. It was already late, so he didn't know why his mother still hadn't come to see him.
Just as he finished reading the picture book in his hand, he suddenly realized that someone had come from outside. Although he got along well with his grandmother, he still felt that she was a little too intimidating, so Lucas still preferred to stay by himself. He secretly opened the door a crack -- it was his mother! Before he could shout, a few people had already grabbed his mother.
"Mommy!" Lucas shouted and ran out.
"Lucas!" Maisy only heaved a sigh of relief when she saw that he was fine.
