Augustus had no choice but to pick her up and carry her. Her soft, sweet voice directly tugged at his heartstrings, making it impossible for him to scare her.
"Forget it, just pretend that I didn't say anything!"
Even her mother couldn't do anything to Aurora, let alone Augustus.
Augustus instructed Gerald, after he sent the two kids to the school bus. "Investigate what that woman has been up to."
Gerald couldn't help but smile slyly. "President Astor, you have finally been enlightened, and so are you now deciding to woo the child's mother?"
Augustus almost punched him, but instead of doing so, he shot him an angry glare.
