Max instantly frowned. Why was she shooting her mouth off so easily now?
Shannon stood aside, hoping that he would leave quickly.
She would recall those sad memories whenever she saw him.
Almost every day, she would think about the baby she lost. She had also lost count of the number of nights she dreamt of the painful day when she lost her baby.
"Help me find a set of clothes." Max stared at Shannon, who was standing at the side, with his deep eyes. His tone was calm, as though ordering her around was a natural thing to do.
It was as though she should have prepared clothes for him, just as she had done so in the past.
She looked up at him with a questioning expression. What did he mean?
"I don't have any men's clothes here. Ask Jake to deliver some over!" Shannon rejected his order subconsciously.
