Renee nodded, but she still felt that it was disrespectful.
"From now on? Are you trying to stay here for the long run? But Renee still has to go home." Max's voice suddenly sounded.
The gentleness on Shannon's face immediately disappeared. This man was really too much.
"Max, I'll ask you one last time. What are you trying to do? Why did you give me that thing for no reason and then bring me here again? Really, what are you trying to do?" Shannon's voice was a little anxious, and her face was flushed because of her impatience.
Renee stepped out of the living room at the right time and gave Shannon and Max some space.
Max sat down beside Shannon and leaned closer to her, staring intently at her face.
Shannon felt as though a thousand waves had been stirred in her heart. She could almost hear her own heartbeat.
"I want a reconciliation. Isn't that obvious?" he asked.
Shannon blinked her large eyes, then regained her composure.
