After saying that, Shannon pushed Max away and walked out. Fortunately, there weren't many people on the streets, so few people saw them.
"I told you to stop!" Max pulled her over and pressed her against the wall.
A trace of disgust flashed across Shannon's eyes. Why was he always so domineering?
"Mr. Wenley! What are you trying to do? If I remember correctly, we're strangers now, aren't we?" Shannon looked up and glared at Max, her tone extremely cold.
Max's eyes gradually lit up in anger. Strangers? No woman had ever dared to speak to him like this.
"Why didn't you accept my check?" Max grabbed Shannon's collar and recalled what she had said to Pete, the fiery look in his eyes becoming even more intense.
Shannon suddenly sneered. She really didn't know what he was thinking.
"Whether I accept the check or not is my business. Does it have anything to do with you?" Shannon looked at Max with a repulsed expression.
