When the people in the banquet hall saw the intimate moment the couple shared, most of their gazes turned envious.

Matthew sat in a corner and frowned. The two people in front of him made him extremely puzzled. Could this woman be the reason for Uncle Max's divorce?

However, it seemed as though his uncle didn't really love this woman that much. When he introduced her just then, he referred to her as his date! What was going on?

The party ended early, so Max quickly left the hotel.

Janice got into Max's car, but she remained silent throughout the entire journey. Max's introduction of her had caused her much unease.

"You don't like such events?" Max suddenly leaned in to her.

A smile appeared on Janice's beautiful face. In front of him, she had to always appear presentable.

"No, it's probably because I haven't been back for a long time, so I'm not used to these parties." She lay in Max's embrace and lied.
