When Mallia Mamet realized what she had said, her face immediately flushed red. She hadn't expected to blurt out something like that; it was truly embarrassing.
But Benjamin Swantz seemed to have little reaction to what Mallia Mamet had just said, which was a relief. Honestly, if Benjamin had started saying something like "Is that so?" or any other kind of insincere comment at that moment, Mallia would have felt even more awkward!
Perhaps Benjamin was so used to hearing such compliments that he didn't react much to what she said now! But didn't she also have the image of a goddess? Could it be that her lavish praise left him completely unfazed?
