"I just went to dinner with your mom, so you don't need to make a big deal out of it. Your mom might be back soon."
That's a relief! Hearing her dad say that, Dylan immediately lay down on the bed as well.
"You should go back to sleep in your room!" George sounded a bit annoyed.
Even though Dylan didn't know exactly what was going on with her dad, she wondered, since he had dinner with mom, why should he still be so annoyed?
"Dad, why do you have to be so temperamental?"
If George had had the strength, he would have said more than just that one sentence.
So after Dylan asked him that, George still didn't speak for a long time, and Dylan had a pretty good idea of the situation.
"Then I won't bother you while you rest!" After saying that, Dylan left very sensibly.
Even though he had been so exhausted that he could barely keep his eyes open just a moment ago, George felt a surge of energy after hearing Dylan leave.
