George Flack was resolute in his threat, and Juliet found it unbelievable. How could a man who had been unfaithful outside carry so much righteousness in accusing her?
"Really, can't it just be a secret? Why do you have to treat me this way?"
It was just choking sobs at first, but eventually, Juliet was directly questioning, directly screaming out, completely lacking her previous delicate demeanor.
