"Don't just talk about me. I've worked so hard, how would I know what George is thinking? So, you could think of a way to test George's feelings now!"
As she spoke, a mischievous smile spread across Aria Grant's face. Then she looked at Juliet with ill intent.
"Have you lost your mind? Aren't you considering it?" Juliet was so agitated that she could barely speak properly.
Even though Aria hadn't heard what Juliet was about to say, she just kept nodding.
Juliet was terrified, completely baffled as to why her good friend Aria would push her into the fire!
So Juliet blurted out directly, fearing she was overthinking things.
"You're not joking, are you? You don't know George's true feelings, so you want me to test him?"
Aria's face turned red with embarrassment; indeed, this was what she meant, but to actually articulate it was uncomfortable, so she just nodded slightly.
