As she pushed the door open, she was immediately greeted by a thick aroma of milk, a sure sign of deliciousness, as the dessert shop had a queue that bent over and over with no end in sight.
Juliet had caught whiffs of the scent before on regular days, but the sight of so many people always zapped her interest.
This time around, Juliet was in a rush to scope out the situation, so she found herself with a bit more patience, watching the line inch forward, the calm in her heart indescribable.
The air was so thick with fragrance that it was almost seductive! Juliet couldn't make out the individual scents but strained to listen to what the people ahead were ordering.
She only waited a little over twenty minutes, it seemed this shop was quite efficient!
"What would you like to order?"
Juliet looked over the pastries in the glass cabinet and pointed directly with her hand, "I'll take six of these! Four of these! Let me think... I'll have one kilo of this! And three of these!"
