Aria Grant hadn't walked two steps before she started wondering if Ivy was still at her friend's house.
But the phone she was holding didn't even have a SIM card.
Even though it had gotten dark, there were still many shops open, so Aria just went into a carrier store and soon got herself a new mobile number.
Aria wasn't worried about the phone plan or how much it cost, because even if she didn't have much money on her, she wouldn't care about these trivial expenses.
So in the store, the staff helped Aria insert the SIM card into her phone, and she hurriedly called Ivy.
Ivy was with Sophia Brown, nibbling on a peach, when her phone rang. Ivy hadn't expected her mommy to call her so soon and thought she would be too busy to do so!
"Ivy, are you still at your friend's place?"
"Yeah, I'm still at Sophia's. Mom, did you go home? It's very late, and it's so cold outside; I don't want to go back. I'm going to sleep over at Sophia's."
