George Flack felt slightly surprised. Why did Mallia Mamet push the dessert towards him? He just wanted to take a picture, nothing more.
"You must be craving it; it not only looks pretty but also tastes especially good. If you think these are my orders and you don't want to fight over them with me, then you can have my leftovers!"
Perhaps because Mallia Mamet is quite particular, even the leftovers looked appealing. Mallia ate with small spoonfuls, so the shape of the dessert remained intact.
Even so, George Flack still resisted. It had nothing to do with how the dessert looked, he simply didn't want to eat what Mallia had left. He still wanted to maintain that distance.
Mallia watched George standing there, phone in hand, no longer taking pictures of the dessert. Wasn't he interested in these? Why wasn't he eating now? Could it be that all that had been said was just to deceive her? Mallia didn't like being lied to.
