He had so readily agreed to Mallia Mamet's request, to keep acting alongside her here, believing that it would make her happy, but Edward seemed to have forgotten to investigate George Flack—did he love Mallia Mamet? Was he capable of loving her openly and honestly?
Edward looked down and swiped on his phone a few times, then started investigating George Flack, and afterward, as if nothing had happened, he continued to eat the dishes before him.
"It's fine, it's fine, I was just kidding. The moment I saw you, I felt a special connection. How could I be upset with you? Please, do me a favor and take care of Mallia Mamet, and give me a good time while I'm here!"
After only a few bites, his phone vibrated. Edward knew the results were in.
