That kick indeed brought Edward back to reality, as he realized he had been distracted for quite some time, so he immediately stood up.
"Mrs. Mamet, what did you just say? I'm really sorry, it might be because I don't always eat properly, so my stomach can act up a bit, I was just in a lot of pain. I'll go to the restroom for a moment!"
Edward then stood up and walked out.
