Aria was still immersed in her emotions, thinking about what Ivy had told her about not always trying to escape. But she never expected her daughter to break free from her embrace the very next second.
Ivy blinked her big eyes and asked Aria, "Mom, I think Mr. Chudley is pretty nice. Instead of always trying to avoid things, why don't we look for answers in another direction?"
Aria froze, wondering what on earth was going on in Ivy's head. She asked with a hint of anger, "Ivy, explain to me why you always want to push me out. Just because you think Benjamin Chudley is nice, that doesn't mean I have to be with him."
The room that was just filled with crying and whining now became a place for serious conversation.
Seeing her mom's serious face, Ivy immediately pressed her chubby face against Aria's, "Alright, Mommy can't be mad. It doesn't matter if you don't like Mr. Chudley. Ivy is still by your side, and I'll always love you."
