WHEN SHE WAS ABOUT TO ENTER her mom's mansion from the back of it, a really tall guy, probably around 6'5", in a black suit, came from it and stared at her. She stared back. He was really ridiculously handsome for his own good.
But when he spoke, she regretted that thought, "Kid, do you know where you are trespassing?"
"Excuse me?" She chuckled.
He took his phone out and called someone, "There's an intruder here. On the back of Abelona's mansion. Come and get her!" Then he put it on his pocket. "A lowly citizen like you can't come inside."
"Lowly citizen?" Abby raised her eyebrows annoyed.
"Do you have any idea of the crime you are comitting, kid?" She was feed up with his bull shit.
"I'm almost 27 years old, asshole. I'm not a kid!"
He raised his eyebrows, "You look 13!"
She gasped, "Excuse me?"
"And you are short like a kid!"
"You are the one who's a fucking titan, asshole!"
A smirk appeared on his lips, "What a dirty tongue for a girl!"
"I'll show you what I can do with my dirty tongue," she exclaimed furious and the back door opened right away.
Her brother, Emmerich, the one before her, stared from her to the tall dude in front of her. "What's happening?"
"This kid, is trespassing your mom's mansion, Rick, I'm dealing with her!" He said in a composed tone and Abby's brother gasped.
"Kid my ass, you son of a bitch. You have no idea who you are talking with. How am I fucking trespassing this hell hole? And dealing with me? Don't make me laugh," she yelled furious and turned to her brother. "Do you know who this jerk is?"
"You know her?" He asked his best friend.
In response, Emmerich burst out laughing, "Jesus above... You spent so much time away from us that you don't even know our closest friends, Abby!" He turned to his sister. "This is my best friend, Klaus Hellmann." Then he turned to the dumbfounded guy, "Klaus, this my little sister, Abby!"
"What?" They both exclaimed together.
"You mean, this dwarf," he pointed to her, "is the mysterious Abby Van Dalen?"
She greeted her teeth, "Dwarf? You son of a bitch. I'm 5'6"! I'm anything but short. It's not my problem if your parents are titans, and you took your ridiculous height from them!"
"That's not the only things I took from them, I guarantee you!" He shot back and they both glared at each other.
"To you a rude asshole like you is the famous business genius of House Hellmann. Tsk. What a horrible personality you have," she said with a vicious grin.
"Said the unladylike woman who kept cursing me for an eternity. That's what rude means. How ironic that you know who I am when I had no idea of who the likes of you are."
When she was about to kick him, Emmerich stopped her by holding her leg. "That's enough, Abby. He's still my best friend!"
"I'm your sister!"
"And yet, I've been more present in his life than you, and I also know him better than you will ever be able to," Klaus provoked.
"Son of a bitch," she cursed. "You know nothing."
"The same goes for you!"
Sigh. "Stop fighting, come on. Get to know each other. Let's be friends," he turned to his best friend. "Stop provoking her, Klaus, you naughty bastard," the back to her. "And you. Stop cursing him and being agressive. He's one of the biggest business partner we have, you will work with him in the future, when you take over as the next matriarch!"
"I would rather die than spend one more minute with a motherfucker like him!" Then she stormed inside.
When the door closed behind her, Klaus smirked amused, "What an interesting woman!"
Emmerich rolled his eyes, "Why are you like this? Always so provoking." Sigh. "And be careful with Abby, alright? Don't go to her just to hurt her."
"I would never!"
"Ha... I know you, Klaus. Abby has been hurt a lot, okay? So, just... Be careful. We are protective of her, and we don't even know what actually happened with her and that asshole!"
Klaus scoffed, "He probably cheated on her. They always do that. And why is it that she looks like she has been on New York and not on Oxford. She curses quite a lot," but he still seemed amused by it.
"She's always been different from us. Abby is... Unique in comparison, I guess. I can't even phantom how anxious and stressed she must be to finally comeback and keep her promise."
"You mean, appearing for the first time in public?" Emmerich nodded.
"Yes. And, the party. A world of celebrities will come today, just to be able to see her before the rest of the world. Our family is famous, and the only things as famous as all of us, is the mystery around her," sigh. "But I'm relieved to finally be able to show people my little sister."
Klaus stayed silent for some minutes, "Why is she short like that? All of you Van Dalens are bloody tall, even the girls are around 6 feet. Even your mom, aunties, and cousins. But she's... Short," he chuckled.
"Don't mention it. She used to be insecure about it, I don't if she still is, but I would rather not know!" He passed his hands through his hair. "And what are you doing outside?"
"Needed a fresh air. Your mom was on my toes again, it's suffocating me. Since my dad asked her to help him find a suitable woman for me, she's been evasive," sigh. "Don't get me wrong, your mom is like a mom to be. But she can be unwavering and inconvenient!"
Emmerich chuckled, "I know. But let's get back."
"You sister might murder me if she sees me again!" He smirked and went inside first, "That would be a lovely sight."
"Just don't go overboard, asshole!"
"I won't," he winked.
