The bells ring indicating that it's Lunchtime
Leaving the yet again chattery classroom, I head to the cafeteria.
On the way, a female around my age approaches me.
"Are you kiyomi?" she says
Once making eye contact, I realized how absurdly good-looking she was, no that's not quite the right term, she's rather cute...
"And you are?" I reply
"Ohh, where are my manners?" she says flustered by my straightforward look.
"I'm Hiriko Aina, not sure if you remember but I sit next to you." She says.
"Oh do you?" Now that I think about it, I think I remember a girl sitting next to me, never got a good look at you though."
"haha yeah," she says laughs energetically.
"Do you wanna go to lunch together? She requests.
"Sure"... no way a popular girl like her just invited me to walk with her to lunch maybe I'm not so ordinary I thought.
She's probably just trying to be nice I thought, a nice girl-nice to everyone so her "nice" act is probably just a fake face she puts on to get attention
Listlessly I mumble, "uh so why did you decide to invite me to lunch?"
"I didn't invite you to lunch silly," she says while giggling weirdly.
Haha, you actually believed me?? she laughs hysterically while walking away.
As she continues to laugh, her voice fades.
Leaving me in hallways in which students laugh at me, I stand there, helplessly emotionless.
After getting my act together I leave once again going back to class without getting lunch, feeling quite discouraged and dejected, I lay my head down.
"kiyomi". "Wake up before the teacher screams at you." A faded tone says.
"KIYOMI TSUDA, WAKE UP", an awfully loud noise awakens me from my sleep. It was my teacher's voice that had awoken me.
Chuckles could be heard from a sum of students in my class, feeling slightly annoyed I apologize.
"Anyways, what's the answer to question 32?" Hida sensei says feeling quite confident that I was gonna get the answer wrong.
"65 to the 2nd power is 4,225 ma'am," I say without question.
They look at me stunned, as their mouths hang in astonishment.
"No way that's the right answer", one kid says so self-confident.
"Right answer Kiyomi, I advise you to not sleep in my class again though," Hida sensei says surprised herself.
A couple of students surround me asking me questions like, "how'd you find the answer", or questions like, "are you a living calculator."
"Luck," I say dishonestly.
Wow, you're weird but quite smart one says. Was that a genuine compliment or were they trying to pity me? I thought. Class ends and I head home walking alone once again.
Arriving home I was greeted by my little sister. "Konbanwa Onii-chan", she says while bouncing up and down like a dysfunctional donkey. "And Hello to you Kahori-chan, look I'm quite tired since today was the first day as a 1st year, so I'm gonna go straight to bed and don't bother me."
As I head upstairs I hear my sister upsettingly scream, "UGH YOU'RE SO ANNOYING ONNI-CHAN".
Ignoring her, I head to my room and sleep straight without a second thought.
