"Why make it my doorknob?" I asked him while crossing my arms together.
He replied. "Oh, well it was the day your mother and I knew that we were gonna have you and it fits the shape as your knob don't you think?"
"So that's why you remember, I was almost impressed if you remembered."
"You kid. sighs well, why are you two looking for it?" He replied while he deeply exhaled.
Zia says. "uncle, we nee-" I cut off what Zia was about to say and asked Lupel.
"Before that, How in the terra meda did you know that Zia was coming over? I mean you are hunting and mother couldn't have gone to you in the hunting grounds."
"Oh about that too, here." he replies and hands over something round over to us.
"That right there is a communication device! I got them from someone who I helped at the town. He was a rich gentleman to gift something like that to me. Really its just mind blowing."
It was a round black colored glass; there was a spell formula at the back that was really complicated; I've never seen something like this.
"That's amazing uncle!" and ran towards Lupel to see this new thing.
"So these are what you and mother used to get in contact with each other? how does it work?" while I fidget with one.
"Yeah, the gentleman explained it and this is how." I took it off my hands and pointed at it, saying. "You first register yourself on that by concentrating." He flipped it for us to see the back. "Then if the spell formula at the back glows then you're registered."
"But how would you call someone from this?" I asked, tilting my head in confusion.
"Oh! that! you think about the person that you are gonna call." "Oh before I forget the person you are trying to reach should be registered. You both try it."
Lupel sucks at explaining, but when he said to concentrate, he meant to understand the basics of the spell formula and feel it like it's circuiting inside you; for a muscle head like him, he sure does have the talent to activate this thing with that understanding.
I then focused everything on activating the com-device, felt something on my head, information started flowing inside me, my head felt hot, and I finally activated it.
"That was a lot harder than how you explained it." I shook my hands.
"Really? your mom and I thought it was too easy- UccCkCK."
Lilia glared at Lupel while smiling dangerously.
"Ahem, Yeah son we had a hard time activating it as well, so don't be too surprised, haha haha ^^;"

I checked how Zia was doing, and I saw hers glow, so I think she's done.
"Oh you got yours too Zia, that's great."
She smiled back at me.
"So let's try this."
I thought of Zia... Her silver moon-like eyes, her hair that waved like moonlight powder, and her figure that greatly astonished me every time. She appeared before the device.
"It worked! this is really extraordinary ( It's like having a smartphone again )
"This is really amazing, uncle! I should tell dad about this and tell him to get me one." she hands over the device, but Lupel shakes his head and says this.
"Why are you giving this to me? that's yours."
"No, no I couldn't possibly accept this priceless device." She replied worriedly.
"We have ours, sweetie." "And it's by no means priceless if you use it to communicate with Zeal hoho~," Lilia said.
"I-"
( Hm? what was that? was that.. did she just blush? )
We both ended up blushing.
"I'll gratefully accept this then, I-I-I would do a good job on looking out for your son uncle, aunty." Zia states.
"Ah what did you do mom? you made her say embarrassing things." I said.
"Whatever are you talking about sweetie hoho~" "then I'm counting on you Zia dear." as Lilia avoids eye contact with me.
She nodded while looking down. It was really an embarrassing moment, but I felt somewhat happy that she felt shy about saying that.
"Ahem.. uh onto the real topic, I'll take the knob and use it we need it."
"What do you need it for even?" "Can't you just take another knob?"
"Stupid old geezer, we don't need any other knob so we're taking it, also replace it. Consider it payment for this embarrassment Hmph." I replied.
I took the knob and dragged Zia out as well.
"W-wait.. Aghhh." "Now I have to sculpt another knob for a replacement."
At the shed.
"Let me put it Zeal." Zia said.
"Alright."
I hand the knob over to her and I stepped back a bit.
"Are you ready?" she asks me.
"Yeah what could possibly happen? haha."
She tries to put the knob below the mushroom hat .. *Click*
Both: !!!
"Zia STAND BACK!!"
I dove to her as I see the whole shed covered with the glow.
"Oww.. that hurts." I rub the dusts off my hands.
???: Need a hand?
"Yeah, thanks." ( My hands hurt... )
I stood up and helped Zia stand.
"Phew, what was that? by the way thanks Zeal." She said.
"Yeah, no problem." I replied.
???: are you guys alright?
Both: Yeah.

Both: AHHHHHHHH !!!!!!
"What happened here?!? Zeal?? Zia?!"
Both my parents came for us and what unfold before their eyes...
"What in the terra meda happened here." Lupel.
"What happened Zeal, Zia sweetie?"
We both pointed towards it, they looked.
"Oh its the humanoid mushroom." "What were you guys screaming for? if it works now isn't that great we get to have two!"
???: Yeah, I don't know what they are surprised about.

Inside the house.
"Care to explain what happened Zeal, Zia?"
He was staring at us seated on the floor.
"About that, we don't know either, all we know is that we put the knob that seems to be the missing piece for the humanoid mushroom. Zia put it in the hole then here we are." I replied.
"Can I speak?" The mushroom asks.
All: Shhhhh..
"Alright then. Zip."
"So that's why you guys insisted to take the knob, you're telling me that it's this thing's missing piece?"
While pointing at the mushroom.
"Yes uncle, however, we didn't know about it rather we were unsure that this would happen." Zia answered honestly.
While we were talking Lilia started a conversation with mushroom two.
"Hi little sweet thing, do you remember me?" she asks.
"hm hmm hmh hmm humm." it was pointing at its mouth while humming.
"Oh, you can speak sweetie." Lilia giggles as she states.
"Ah thank you madam, and yes I do remember you."
"Good good, will you help me ou-" it came near Lilia as he reaches out and points at her stomach and says.
"And also this life inside of you that seems to have changed while I was asleep."
Lilia was petrified and so was everyone in the room.
