...Or so he thought.
Prepared my ass.
Question: What do you do when you meet someone who acts like they're mute and refuses to communicate like a normal human being?
Answer: You will forcibly continue this one-sided conversation.
And that's what Chuni did.
The host, or rather Li Wan, was the silent kind. She was the school flower and a Straight A student. Like all Mary-Sue protagonists, she came from a poor family and had to work multiple jobs at a young age to sustain her family's expenses, but instead of having a bubbly personality, she had an aloof demeanor and rarely spoke to anyone; thus no one dared approach her. And the ones that did, were all coldly pushed away by her because Li Wan had a big goal to achieve.
Like the many people from the East Side (**poverty-stricken area), she wanted to amass enough wealth that she wouldn't need to worry about her expenses ever again, but more than that, she wanted to stand on the pinnacle of the pyramid—the elite circle, the group that held unfathomable power.
It was ambitious as it was preposterous; after all her final goal was to create a business empire for herself. Unfortunately, before she could attempt to fulfill her dream she died. She was not pleased to say the least. Hence resulting in the current stalemate.
Chuni, on the other hand, had quadruple checked with the higher-ups that she, in fact, wasn't mute and was perfectly capable of talking. So now, he had to find a way to pry open her mouth, and pull that vocal cord because her performance directly affects him.
Humans are greedy, so if you grant them something they want they will agree to cooperate with you. Thus, Chuni followed this method.
"I know," Chuni started, "you want a business empire, and I can help you."
A cocked eyebrow.
"Really", Chuni emphasized, offended at her distrust.
"After you complete your missions, I will help aid you in your original world. "
"How many?" Li Wan spoke for the first time.
[She spoke!!! (T-T) ]
"Just enough for 100 points, so it largely depends on your acting ability in each world," Chuni hurriedly responded in case this ancestor was gonna pretend to be mute again.
Her eyes glazed over as if she was contemplating on whether she should accept this or not.
"There's bonuses too!" Chuni added.
Her eyes flickered up.
"Any items you obtain here can still retain its use in your original world."
"Hm....."
"What's the first task?"
Chuni almost cried tears of joy, except he couldn't.
"The first task is..."
