[4:01]Pm
Our lips were now intertwining, I could feel his hot breath and his warmth, and his eyes were staring a hole into mine. I simply closed my eyes, tightly, out of embarrassment as my cheeks flushed red. Before I knew it, my lips became lonely as he pulled away. I gradually opened my eyes to stare at him, I was about to say something when he pushed me out of the way and closed the gates in front of me, he turned around and began walking away. "Huh?" I thought, exactly what just transpired? I was left utterly baffled with my luggage in my hands, blinking multiple times I turned around and began walking In the opposite direction. Now wasn't the time for confusion… But yet.
"S-Shawn.." I said as I squatted and held my head, my face was as red as a tomato, and my lips were quivering, tears began to roll down my face as the weight of the situation had just set in. "Nathaniel... Elizebeth.." I let out a hic as more tears rolled down my cheeks. Gathering my courage, I got up and began to run. Our mansion was built in the woods, I was told at some point that just beyond the woods was civilization, that was where the city people lived. I ran like a blind mouse towards a path, then began treading from there.

"What!?"
The lady let out a gasp, she turned to Elizabeth with blazing eyes. Elizabeth only kept her gaze downward, she did her best not to look upward or show any signs of fear.
"Elizabeth!" She shouted, the person was indeed Kaito's mother, she marched over to Elizabeth and grabbed her by her face, she had an awful scowl and furious eyes, Elizabeth winced and averted her gaze.
"M-my goddess… I'm not sure what happened, I left her room and then came to you... When I returned, I found the window in pieces and that the princess was gone... Please forgive me.." Elizabeth said with a whimpering gasp, she did her best to not cry as she explained. Kaito's mother on the other hand was blinded with rage, she let out a grunt in disgust as she turned around to inspect Kaito's room, for they had been standing in it this whole time. After walking around, her eyes lay on a stone, which she picked up and gaze upon it with narrowed eyes.
"They came in with the help on this. Alice." She said, calling another maid, who had quickly run to her side and bowed. "Take this to my workshop, and you," She said, pointing at Elizabeth. "Come with me, we are going to the police."

I checked my phone, it was 5:12 pm. The sun was slowly setting and I had managed to walk a good distance, however, I don't think I was anywhere near the city. I had left the woods, so no more trees… But now I was faced with a long path.
"What is wrong with me. Anyone in my place would have just gone along with the surgery, but noooo. I had to be independent, I had to stand up and fight for my right… WELL, NOW I DONT KNOW WHERE I AM!" I yelled, frustrated and tired. Somehow I ended up tripping on a rock and falling flat on my face.
"Ouch.."
I got up haggardly with one eye wincing, it hurt a lot. I looked at my knee, and it seemed I had scraped it. I held onto it but it stung on contact, I sighed and just stood up then began walking. Minutes passed and soon I saw a car approach me, the sky had darkened a bit, but there was still light out. The car stopped beside me and I looked at it with a skeptical look, the window rolled down and soon the face of a man who seemed to be well dressed was now staring at me. He smiled, "Are you lost, little girl? Going somewhere?" He said, gazing at my luggage then at me. I looked at him with daunting eyes, for some reason I didn't trust him. I slowly nodded, and he beamed an even brighter smile. Disgusting. He didn't seem old at all, like as if he was in his early 20s. But yet, I didn't like him.
"Come in, I'll help you. To the city right?"
"Well…. Yes." I said with a bit of uncertainty, should I really get in the car of a stranger? I looked down the road, it was a long walk. I huffed then opened the man's car door, then got in with my luggage. Once I had closed it, the car began to move again, making a turn towards the city I believe.
"Im very grateful sir.. But weren't you going somewhere?" I asked with a raised eyebrow. "Oh don't worry about it. Normally I just take a drive around here." the man said calmly. I raised my eyebrows in a fit of surprise. "Why?…" I asked with worry, it didn't add up. This road was a single narrow road, it lead to the forest, which lead to the mansion. So why?
"Oh? Well you see, there's a cemetery far off into the woods... I, eh, go over there to see my wife's grave." he said, he seemed saddened as he explained. It made me a bit guilty for asking, however, he kept his focus on the road. I kept silent and just waited. Sooner or later I think I had fallen asleep.
I woke up in a small room, lying in a bed. It didn't look like any room I've ever been in, and it certainly wasn't my room either. I looked around, my eyes caught sight of simple things you would find in a bedroom, nothing too fancy. Suddenly I jumped out of the bed as I remembered my luggage. "Where.." I turned to the door, it was a wooden door that was currently closed. It was the only door in the room, which means it was the exit. I hurriedly walked over to it, but suddenly it flung open and the man from earlier now faced to face with me. I stared up at him and he stared down at me.
"Oh! You're awake! I'm sorry I hadn't woken you, you looked so precious as you slept, I didn't have the heart." he said with a bashful face, grinning at me as he chuckled. I only stared at him silently with indifference. "Um… Apologies if I'm being rude, but where's my luggage?"
"Oh? It's under that bed you woke up in," he said, pointing toward the bed, my eyes followed and I saw my luggage under the bed. I slowly turned back to him and gave him a serious look.
"You know, it's sort of strange to take a child into your home without that child's permission. That's kidnapping." I said, feeling a bit annoyed. He only shrugged and grinned, "Well, you didn't seem like you were from around here. You look like you were running away from home. Not to mention that you had an injury." He pointed to my knee, I looked down at it to see it was covered in bandages. "I took care of it, it must have hurt." he said, I gazed up at him and he gave me a warm smile. I smiled a bit in return, "Thank…you.."
"You're welcome! Now, are ya hungry?" I shook my head in response but my stomach betrayed me, grumbling on cue as the man began to laugh. I laughed stiffly as my cheeks flushes red. "Your tummy says otherwise. Come on, I'll cook ya something. My names Lyons by the way. What's your name?"
"Uh... Kaito.." I said as I followed him out of the room, he began leading me down a hallway then turned into a room, it looked like the dining room which was also the kitchen apparently, for I saw I wall separating the two and if you walk a good distance, you'd find yourself in another room.
"Please sit, I'll make you dinner!" He said with a smile, now that everything was calm I took my time to look around, he seemed like a simple man, having blonde hair and blue eyes, he had a small beard, and chiseled features. He was indeed handsome. Most likely 6'1, he was indeed a very tall man. His dining room was simple, there were some family portraits, paintings, and lights around the walls. There was a dead animal on the wall, must be stuffed. It irritated me so I turned my attention elsewhere. I gazed into the kitchen, staring at his back as he moved around. Suddenly, I began to wonder. "Where are his children? Or does he not have any.. Well, he is young... But still." it was a baseless thought, after all, I knew nothing about this stranger. He came in with a plate of food in his hand, accompanied by a glass of water. it was a dish I had never seen before.
"What is that?" I gestured to the dish in his hand.
"Apple pie. Why? Have you not had this before?" I shook my head and he just let out a small laugh. "It's good, trust me." He winked and I raised both eyebrows, my heart skipped a beat. "Kaito, he's older than you, a full-grown man. You're a little boy, control yourself…" I said inwardly as if warning myself for being silly. He pulled out a chair and sat across me as he dropped the plate in front of me with a glass of water, he stared at me, as if waiting for me to try the food. Which I later did. A sudden burst of flavor explode in my mouth, it was delicious. He must have noticed my surprise because he was grinning. "Like it?" I nodded as I ate, fixated on the food. He laughed and rubbed the brim of his nose with his finger, his cheeks glowed a tinted red. "Im blushing, it's been a while since someone tried my cooking! I'm glad you like it." like is not the right word, love is more appropriate. The food really was delicious. Or maybe I'm just that hungry, either way, I'm finishing it.
Once I was finished, I let out a burp. I blinked in astonishment as Lyons looked at me a bit surprised, soon he began to laugh and I guess it was contagious, for I also began to giggle. "Apologies.."
"It's fine! It means you liked the food and you're full! That's a good thing. You remind me of her." the last statement caught me off guard, her? I raised my eyebrows in a questioning manner. "Who might that be?" I said slowly. "My wife." He said with a small smile, getting up and grabbing my plate. I sat there a bit confused, then I turned to look at the picture frame, I saw a picture of him and some women. She was dark-skinned, had black hair and hazel eyes, she wore a red dress in the photo. She was beautiful. This is the first time I've ever seen a human with dark skin before. "She's beautiful.." I mumbled out unconsciously. "Heh. She's a gem. I loved her and still do. The kindest woman you'd ever meet." I turned my head to the voice to find Lyons standing by the kitchen entrance, leaning on the wall as he started at the same picture I was looking at previously. He had a solemn look as he spoke but was yet still smiling. I noticed that he smiled a lot.
"She loved to dance and sing.. She had the most amazing voice and moved in such a memorizing way. I couldn't take my eyes off her." He said in a sorrowful manner, biting on his lip. "She must have been amazing…" I said, guilt building up inside of me. He gawked at me with a smile, it looked forced. He nodded," She was the best! She never stopped bragging about me to her friends and family, saying she found herself a lighting god. Hahahaa." He chuckled, using his index finger to brush against his cheek shyly.
A lighting God? Whatever that meant… Would he even look good in a toga?… Kaito, stop!
I smiled and laughed. "You two sound like a great couple. I hope her soul is resting peacefully." I said respectfully, and he nodded in response. "I hope so too." there was silence in the room.
"Oh! You must be tired." the sudden sound of talking startled me, I only stared at him and shook my head. "Not really." He raised an eyebrow and looked at me quizically, tilting his head to the side. "Are you sure?" I nodded in response to his question. He only shrugged then sighed in defeat. "If you say so. I'll be in the living room, make yourself at home." I watched him walk by and then disappear into the other room. Now to think, this guy called Lyons was awfully nice to a kid he just met, he seems like a nice person. He even made me dinner. But yet, I don't trust him. Deep down, I just don't think he's what he says he is. I need to find out more... My eyes turned to the same portrait of before, the one that had just him and his wife. Do people like that really exist? People with dark skin like that. Strange… Well, time to investigate.
