Chapter 337 - Start of The Eternal War - Part 2

Heero and his family lived in a large mansion in an exclusive residential area. It was actually a secret base for the SES and they used it temporarily.

Hong Yu knocked on the door of the second floor a few times. She had a worried look on her face when he stared at the first floor.

Not long after, the door opened and Heero came out, yawning as he straightened up. He was wearing pajamas, an indication that he was about to sleep.

"What's wrong?" Heero asked as he noticed that something was wrong with his wife.

"How about the kids?" Hong Yu tried to peek into the room.

Heero was with the sleeping children. Seven children were sleeping and it was an exhausting job.

"They are sleeping, has something happened?"

"No, but three guests downstairs, they came to see you. They are the executives of the Sun City branch of the Hero League," Hong Yu whispered carefully into Heero's ears.

That was the thing that confused Heero. If they were executives of the Hero League, why did Hong Yu look so worried?

"Oh, okay. I will come down."

"Mnn, I will stay with the kids," Hong Yu was unwilling to accompany him to meet the guests who were unusual for her.

With a little curiosity, Heero went down to the living room. Kang Seo-Yeon and Bai Xin Yue were accompanying the guests. They sat there and Heero recognized the three guests.

He had done some homework, so he recognized them. Three guild leaders of the top 3 guilds in Sun City.

From the left was Luca Lane, Emperor Class Hero - rank 3. He was also the guild leader of Dawn.

Dawn was the rank 3 guild in Sun City. You could say that Dawn was the third strongest guild.

Luca Lane was a man in his late thirties. He had short hair and a rugged face. A burn scar on his forehead was the easiest way to recognize Luca Lane.

The one in the middle was Dominic, Emperor Class Hero - Rank 1. He was the guild leader of the Emperor's Guild, the number one guild in Sun City. A guild with the most Emperor Class Heroes.

Dominic looked younger than Lucan. He had long blond hair and a fringe that covered his forehead. He was handsome and had a mysterious aura about him.

The man on the right was Leon Kline, Emperor Class Hero - Rank 2. He was the guild leader of the Crimson Legion, the number two guild in Sun City, second only to the Emperors.

Compared to the other two, he was older, a man in his mid-forties with a neat haircut. His gray hair also showed that he was no longer young.

Dressed in a black suit, he looked solemn all the time, giving off the vibe of someone who did not like to joke around.

When the three noticed Heero's presence, they wanted to stand up to greet him.

However, Heero motioned for them to remain still as he sat down on the opposite side.

"Please drop the formality, we are not at work, right?" Heero smiled as he sat in the middle of his wives.

Only Luca Lane smiled back at Heero. The other two still had solemn expressions on their faces.

"Great minds think alike! Yes, let's skip the formality and get straight to the point," Luca replied to Heero with a grin. Even though he was talking to Heero, his eyes never left Kang Seo-Yeon.

"You're right, but if you keep staring at my wife like that, I will gouge your eyes out, Mr. Luca!" Heero's smile widened as he looked at Luca.

He finally understood why Hong Yu did not want to go down with him. There was a pervert here.

"Kuhuhu... Calm down, President Xing~," Luca's grin became wider as well. He was not afraid of Heero's warning at all.

"Even if you want to dig my eyes out, you don't have the ability to do that! You have to be careful with your words or you will embarrass yourself, President Xing!"

Heero straightened his back and was about to make a move. But Dominic and Leon noticed his movement.

"We are here to talk, not to fight President Xing! I apologize for my friend's rude behavior!" Leon Kline stood up and bowed slightly to Heero.

Meanwhile, Dominic looked at Luca with his cold gaze, "Remember your promise? If you don't want to listen, then get lost!"

Heero was surprised to see such a reaction. He thought that the three of them had come to cause trouble or something, but he seemed to be wrong with his assumption.

"Alright! All right! I will close my eyes," Luca raised his hands, indicating that he gave up.

However, he winked at Kang Seo-Yeon with his right eye before actually closing his eyes.

"Hehe..." Kang Seo-Yeon replied with a mysterious chuckle for some reason.

"So, what do you want to talk about?" Heero turned to Dominic. The youngest seemed to be the one leading the group.

"We're here to inquire about the intention of the Star City branch of the Hero League to bring a large force to our city. Can you tell us why?"

Dominic placed a folder on the table and pushed it towards Heero.

Bai Xin Yue caught the folder and opened it for Heero. Inside was a picture of the SES team arriving at Sun Airport. Not only a picture but also a complete profile of all SES members.

Heero closed the folder and put it back on the table. He still had a polite smile on his face.

"Do you want to know the reason? But I am afraid..."

Before Heero could finish his words, Dominic cut him off with a firm tone: "Yes, we want to know the reason, an honest answer! I hope you're not doing anything funny because of our past!"

"It's because I am worried about the specters. They might attack this year's Fighter Anteriority, so I bring them with me," Heero nodded his head and told them the reason.

"Are you doubting our abilities, President Xing?" Leon asked Heero in a low tone. The old man seemed to be offended by his words.

"Just in case, you know! At least I brought enough people to protect my people in case the specters attack. I just want to ensure their safety, that's all," Heero replied calmly.

Luca opened his eyes and looked directly at Heero, "We've recalled 67 Emperor Class Heroes, do you think that's not enough to defend against those weaklings hiding in the dark?"

But Heero ignored Luca. He did not answer Luca or even look at him. He took Luca as air.

"You...!" Luca was about to point his finger at Heero when Dominic's voice interrupted him.

"Luca! Behave yourself!" After reminding Luca, Dominic looked back at Heero, "Is that it?"

"Yes, that's it. Just taking precautions against the specters," Heero nodded his head to confirm his words.

Dominic and Leon narrowed their eyes at Heero for quite a while.

Luca did not give up, "You brought a large force and then left your city unguarded? Does that make sense, President Xing?"

"It makes sense, I have a reliable force that will protect Star City from the specter's harm. You don't have to worry about that, I'm not that stupid!" Heero grinned.

I have a dragon to guard the city. That's more than enough to defend it.

"Okay then. We just want to talk about it. We are sorry to have disturbed your night, President Xing. I hope you have a nice stay with your family," Dominic stood up and nodded to Heero.

"I hope so," Heero nodded and tossed the folder back to Dominic, "Don't forget your things. You can check the folder again just in case something is missing."

Dominic frowned at Heero's words. After a moment he nodded and took the folder with him. The three of them left the mansion.

"Hah... Look how cocky he was, it annoyed me! I want to punch him in the face at least once!" As soon as they left the mansion, Luca broke out.

"It was you who acted rude first, do you still want him to treat you politely after that?" Leon shot an annoyed look at Lucan.

"What do you think, Dominic? Do you think he was telling the truth?" Leon asked Kline.

"I don't know, the man was hard to read. We can only send our people to watch him for now."

Dominic shook his head as he looked down at the folder in his hand.

"Well then, let's talk again tomorrow!" Leon let out a sigh before walking towards the black car parked outside the fence.

Luca followed as well, grumbling, "If there's a chance, I'll really punch him in the face!"

Dominic just shook his head at Luca's childish behavior. He walked out of the mansion gate and headed for his car.

Just as he was about to open the door, he remembered Heero's words before they parted for some reason.

[Don't forget your stuff. You can check the folder again just in case something is missing].

Dominic could not help but look down at the folder in his hand. He did not know why, but there was an urge that told him to check the folder again.

He opened the folder and checked all the papers inside. There was no paper missing, but there was an additional blank paper with some words on it.

He was surprised to see the last paper and could not help but look back towards the mansion.

Right at the window on the second floor, he saw a shadow waving at him. There was no doubt, the shadow was Heero.

Dominic looked at the folder again. After a while, he checked the surroundings. Leon and Luca had driven away in their cars.

Dominic turned and waved at Heero. Then he got into his car with a slight smile on his face.

Three days passed quickly, the Fighter Anteriority was about to begin. The most awaited tournament, the clash of the heroes. The people could only watch it in the Fighter Anteriority.

The opening ceremony would start at 10 a.m. and continue with the main tournament. The order of the Fighter Anteriority was changed after the last incident.

The Main Tournament would be first, then the Junior Tournament and the last would be the Free Fighter One.

In a VIP box, Heero sat together with the leader of the Emperor's Guild, Dominic. Heero was alone, his wives were with him.

"Hah, even if we change the order of the event, it does not change anything..." Dominic sighed as he shook his head.

"But at least we can save more people!" Heero comforted Dominic.

The opening ceremony was coming to an end. Leon gave a speech about heroism.

But little did the people know that the man on stage had joined the specter's side.

"Let the festival begin!" As soon as Leon finished his speech, a barrier formed. A blackish barrier covered the entire city in an instant, darkening the city. The specters had begun their attack.
