Chapter 326 - Clouded

The moment Heero told Ryan White that everyone in the White household had been killed, he went on a rampage.

He attacked Heero to avenge his family because he thought it was Heero who killed his family.

The result was obvious, he was crushed. Ryan White had not fully integrated his bloodline.

Except for spitting some fire out of his hand and strengthening himself physically, he had not learned a single thing about Divine Crow.

That was why he was so depressed. The murderer of his family was right in front of him, but he could not avenge his family. It was so frustrating.

"This is beyond stupid," Heero was also frustrated. He had tried to explain everything, that the friend he was talking about was not his friend, but the culprit behind the massacre. But Ryan White had not even listened to him.

"Why would I kill your family? Because of our conflict? It was not even a conflict, it was just you being jealous of me."

"You tried to shame me because you thought you were the strongest. So you tried to challenge me to embarrass me, to show your crush, who is also my wife, that I am weak?"

"That was your goal in challenging me, wasn't it? You were the one who started it all, and now you are blaming me. This is ridiculous."

Heero rubbed his hair. He was on the verge of using force to make Ryan White talk.

Ryan White flinched and his eyes shook slightly. But he remained stubborn and coldly turned to Heero.

"Hah... It seems the jealousy is really eating you up. You don't even bother to find out the truth behind the case. Listen to me, if I wanted something from you, would I kill your family?"

Heero turned his body towards Ryan White and met his cold gaze.

"That's just stupid, I would rather use them as hostages. Then I'll line you up here with your family and kill them one by one if you don't give me the thing I want."

"Why would I kill your family? There's no logic behind your accusation against me. Maybe the parasite really did break your brain."

Slowly, Ryan White fell into deep thought. He remembered Heero's story and found out that what Heero had told him made sense.

If Heero wanted something from him, taking his family hostage was the best and most logical move.

No, don't let him gaslight you, Ryan! He was the murderer of your family! Don't fall into his trap.

There was a whisper inside Ryan White. It kept telling him not to trust Heero.

He is the murderer of your family! Avenge your family and kill him! Kill him!

The whispering grew louder, and a sharp pain began to penetrate his head. Ryan White clutched his head with both hands as he fell to the ground.

"Stop it! It hurts! Please, stop!" Ryan White cried in agony as he rolled around on the floor.

Heero got up and frowned as he looked at Ryan White. This was the first time Ryan White had ever done anything like this.

Just as Heero started to approach Ryan White, a hand grabbed his shoulder.

"Don't do anything, just watch," Niadin's voice reached Heero's ears.

Heero turned to face the old man. The old man had returned with the unconscious Sun Zhou Yi on his shoulder.

'He keeps beating him without mercy, huh,' he thought as he saw the unconscious Sun Zhou Yi.

Ryan White was still struggling with the whispers in his head. At first, it was only one voice, but as it continued, many voices were whispering in his head.

Then he began to hear his father's voice, Melvin White's voice, "Useless! Useless son! If you can't avenge us, why don't you join us? Kill yourself and join me and your mother!

Kill yourself! Useless! Go kill yourself! 'Join us, Ryan!' 'Kill yourself!' 'Useless!

Such a phrase was whispered into Ryan White's head.

"Arghhhh!! Please stop! Please stop! It hurts!" He screamed at the top of his lungs.

"Are you sure? He could really go crazy," Heero was quite worried about Ryan White. Not that he cared about Ryan White, but he had the information he wanted.

Niadin shook his head, indicating that Ryan White was fine. The old man walked over to the small log cabin and placed Sun Zhou Yi inside.

Ryan White was still screaming as he rolled around on the ground. Heero wanted to help, but the old man asked him not to, so he just watched Ryan roll around.

"What about Sun Zhou Yi, is he okay?" While the two watched Ryan White, Heero asked about Sun Zhou Yi's progress. Inheriting a bloodline was not as easy as it sounded. Just like a technique, it took practice to fully harness the power of the bloodline.

"He did a great job and I almost embarrassed myself today..." Niadin raised his thumb as he praised Sun Zhou Yi.

The old man started to say something but stopped in the middle. He did not finish his words and immediately focused on Ryan White.

"You have nothing to be ashamed of for almost getting hit by him," Heero grinned at the old man.

Niadin turned to Heero with a surprised look. The old man had a "How did you know?" kind of face.

Then the two of them chatted while watching Ryan White. At Niadin's request, Heero did nothing but watch Ryan White in pain.

After a full twenty minutes, Ryan White stopped screaming. He was breathing heavily on the floor, his face covered in dirt and sweat.

Only his ragged breathing could be heard as he completely stopped moving. The energy was drained from his body after twenty minutes of struggling.

"Hah, he managed to suppress the poison. It's the right decision to take him in, he has potential..." Old Niadin commented as he stood up.

"Poison? You poisoned him?" Heero was surprised at the mention of poison.

"Of course not. I am not that cruel to poison some random stranger. It was the Abyss Parasite residue, it poisoned him, making his mind cloudy..." Old Niadin rubbed his chin, "I guess that is what happened to him."

"You guess, so you don't know what exactly happened?"

"I don't know, but this is most likely what happened to him. Like I said, the Abyss Parasite is a kind of extremely rare thing."

"I don't know much about this thing. If you find your master, he must know something about this parasite."

Having said that, Old Man Niadin approached Ryan White, who was lying down with no energy.

He held the body and placed his right hand on Ryan White's head. Old Man Niadin then mysteriously whirled his hand while Heero watched from the side.

Ten seconds later, a black miasma came out of Ryan White's head. The black miasma was sucked by Old Man Niadin's hand. The black miasmic swirled around Old Man Niadin's hand and he showed it to Heero.

"I guessed right. There is a residue that could be a poison for his head. But not deadly enough to kill him," Niadin grinned at Heero.

After that, the Red Ki devoured the rest of the miasma. Like a predator devouring its prey, Old Man Niadin's Ki swallowed the poison.

"Come back tomorrow. He needs some rest before he can talk normally again."

There was no way Heero could talk to Ryan White now. The guy fainted as soon as Old Man Niadin took out the rest of the poision.

"Mnnn, there's no other choice," Heero nodded his head and walked away, waving his hand to the old man, "I'll trust you with these two!"

Meanwhile, at the unknown location, Roman sat in a pavilion in the middle of an artificial lake. He was drinking a glass of coffee, a habit he picked up after impersonating Butler Rodin.

He was not alone, the middle-aged man who had picked him up in Star City was also there. They were drinking the same coffee.

For a moment, Roman furrowed his brow, and the middle-aged man noticed. It was not long before the frown was replaced by a smile.

"The residue has taken effect. He must be dying now, so you don't have to worry about my pawn," Roman said confidently.

"That's good. Even if he knows nothing about us, it will be much better to leave no trace behind," the middle-aged man nodded in return.

Little did Roman know that Heero had a dragon that could remove the residue poision.

The next night, Heero visited the first dungeon again. On his way to meet Ryan White, he thought about how to convince Ryan White.

When he arrived there, Heero was a little surprised. He did not have to think anything to convince the guy because Ryan White willingly told him what he wanted to know.
