Chapter 269 - Weak

"Ki Concealment cloak? So it's that black cloak that blocked our vision?" Musashi Hirata activated his Mystical Eyes as he pointed at the black cloak.

"It shouldn't be a problem..." He muttered as his pupils turned purple.

"What?" Lyera asked.

Musashi Hirata replied with a shake as he moved his hand to his sword. Two katanas of similar length hung from his waist.

"No, just get your men and your arrow ready! I will take care of the front!"

Swoosh!

Musashi Hirata's figure flashed and at the same time, he pulled out the two katanas.

Swish! Swish! Swish!

The shards of blue ki flashed with each swing of his sword. It was like a tornado of blades that swept through the group of specters.

Countless blades swept through the specters, causing chaos in the group.

"Spread out and..." A voice shouted among the ghosts, but the voice stopped in its tracks as a sliver of blue ki sliced through its head, right at its dark core.

Lyera and Kang Hae-Jung, Heero's only apprentice in Squad 2, froze at the sight. The katana was not even 2 meters long, but it could reach the specters that was 5 to 10 meters away from him.

What shocked them even more was the fact that the ghost was killed in a single slash, indicating that the core had been destroyed.

The Ki Concealment Cloak was useless in front of Musashi Hirata.

"But how?" Lyera blurted out.

Kang Hae-Jung let out a sigh and muttered, "As expected from the disciple of the Chief Instructor".

While the two girls were in a daze, Musashi Hirata scolded the two girls, "What are you doing? Move your asses and hunt them down!"

Even though his katana had a range of 10 meters, it could not reach all the specters. Especially since the ghosts were spreading out, and even some of them started to flee the battle.

With the scolding, Lyera snapped out of her daze and ordered her people to start moving. Kang Hae-Jung also began to chase the specters that tried to escape.

With Musashi Hirata on the rampage, the battle did not last long. He took care of most of the remaining specters while the Purple Mountain Tribe hunted down the ones that had escaped.

As Kang Hae-Jung dragged a dried-up ghost she had killed with one hand, she looked at Musashi Hirata in awe.

"No less from an emperor class hero, when I can reach his level!" She was quite jealous.

Musashi Hirata stood in the middle of the dried-up ghosts. His dual swords were already resting on their sheaths as he counted the number of ghosts on the ground.

"62... 63... 65..." He nodded as they killed the correct number. There were 65 specters in the group, and they killed them all.

"What was that?" Lyera asked Musashi Hirata.

"How did you find the core? How?" That was what she wanted to know.

Hirata furrowed his brow and replied with a question, "Are you going to share your secret technique as well?"

Lyera was at a loss for words and did not know how to continue the conversation.

"Stop talking nonsense! My master said you can collect the Dark Core so you can trade it to the Hero League!"

Hirata turned and walked away. But he stopped after a few steps, "Hurry up! We have to go to the mutant village!"

"Kang Hae-Jung! Call the support team! Tell them to get ready to pick up the mutants!"

On the side of Squad 1

"Huh... Luckily, I learned the advanced Mystic Eyes!" Sun Zhou Yi muttered.

At the same time, his blue pupils turned purple and everything became clear.

He pressed the intercom, "I will take care of them from now on! Catch the specter that tries to escape later!"

Wung! Wung! Wung!

Right after he informed his team, Ki Sword formed one by one. Zhang Zhong Guang and Ren Anqing immediately kept their distance from Sun Zhou Yi.

They were afraid of disturbing their captain.

"Oh, damn it! He's the damn sword god! Run for your..." Leader 1 realized who their opponent was. He screamed, but before he could finish his words, a sword struck his left chest.

In fact, not only he, but all of his subordinates were struck by the ki sword. It struck them right in the heart. 62 Ki swords for 62 ghosts.

"...life," With the last word, Leader 1 collapsed. The other ghosts followed.

This was not even a battle, but a one-sided slaughter. The enemy could not even fight for their lives.

Gulp!

Zhang Zhong Guang and Ren Anqing swallowed a mouthful of saliva.

Both of them had often heard Sun Zhou Yi's stories, and they'd even seen Sun Zhou Yi's fight in the Fighter Anteriority.

But this was the first time they had seen Sun Zhou Yi use his Ki Swords. It was an overwhelming display of power for both of them.

Even Rasyikh was surprised to see this scene. He was surprised by Sun Zhou Yi's control over the Ki Swords, precise and fast.

"As expected from the disciple of the Saint's disciple!" Rasyikh nodded in agreement as he came out of his hiding place. He approached Sun Zhou Yi, who was currently examining the desiccated body of the specters.

"They are mutants!" The three group leaders were mutants.

This was both good and bad news. The bad news was that the specters had reached out to the mutants. The good news was that the mutant specter was not as strong as he thought.

"Can we take the dark cores?" Rasyikh approached and asked for the Dark Core.

The Dark Core was of no use to them, but it could be exchanged for money. The contract between his tribe and the Hero League. The bigger the Dark Core was, the more money he could exchange it for.

"Mnn! Master said you can take the Dark Core!" Sun Zhou Yi nodded and looked at his smartwatch.

He was checking the location of the mutant village while the Purple Mountain Tribe people were collecting the Dark Cores.

The mutant village was his next target.

They did it quickly, five minutes, and all the cores were dug up by them.

"The three leaders are level 2 spectres, while the rest are only level 1 spectres!" Rasyikh told Sun Zhou Yi.

Sun Zhou Yi nodded and noted that the level 1 and 2 specters were weak.

"Let's go to the mutant village!" The next task was to convince the mutants to follow them back to the city.

Even though the mutant specters were not that strong in Sun Zhou Yi's eyes, they could not let the specters form a huge army through the mutants. It was SES's duty to prevent that from happening.

On Sun Zhou Yi's side, the mutants in the village were easily persuaded by him. When the word of healing was mentioned, all the mutants agreed to follow him.

However, this was not the case for Group 2.

"Why should we follow you? Cure? Cure my ass! You just want to use us as your experimental material!" An ugly mutant pointed his crooked finger at Musashi Hirata.

Musashi Hirata's eyes turned sharp, "Then I will just break your leg! Let's see if you can struggle then!"

Just as he was about to pick up his sword, Kang Hae-Jung stopped him, "Wait! Wait, Captain! You can't use force against them, our mission is to convince them, not to take them away by force! Let me talk to them!"

It was then that Kang Hae-jung realized why her cousin had assigned her to the 2nd Squad. It was to help the violent and impatient Musashi Hirata.

When Kang Hae-Jung took over, she was able to stabilize the situation before finally getting the mutants to follow her after half an hour. Without Musashi Hirata, she would have been able to convince them in ten minutes.

With that, the first operation of the SES was completed smoothly.

Back to the SES office

Heero, Bai Xian Ming and Kim Jung-Mun sat next to each other. Bai Xian Ming and Kim Jung-Mun wanted to know how the first mission went.

"So... how strong are these level 1 ghosts and level 2 ghosts?" Kim Jung-Mun looked at the two captains, Sun Zhou Yi and Musashi Hirata.

"Weak!" Sun Zhou Yi and Musashi Hirata gave the same answer at the same time.

The response left Old Ming speechless. He knew that these two guys must be comparing themselves to their opponent.

"I know they must be weak, but how weak are they compared to Gold Class Heroes or even Silver Class Heroes?"

"I don't know, they died in a single blow!" It was Sun Zhou Yi's reply.

"Weak enough, not even good enough to be a training opponent! Even Xu Lingxun is stronger than them!" Typical answer from Musashi Hirata.
