Chapter 226 - Barren Land

A group of ten people gathered in front of the stone gate.

"So this is the dungeon you were talking about," Musashi Ueno commented with a frown on his forehead.

"It looks mysterious and magical," as always, Musashi Noboru was playful. He circled the stone gate curiously.

Musashi Osada kept his mouth shut and his face serious.

Next to the three old men were the seven heroes of the Emperor Class, who had been sent to investigate the third dungeon.

Sun Zhou Yi, Emperor Class Hero - Rank 20.

Wu Shen Lei, Emperor Class Hero - Rank 22.

Musashi Hirata, Emperor Class Hero - Rank 23.

Huo Liang Xun, Emperor Class Hero - Rank 17.

Park Jin-Soo, Emperor Class Hero - Rank 16.

Elazaro Tania, Emperor Class Hero - Rank 11.

Musashi Naizen, Emperor Class Hero - Rank 7.

Seven of them were sent to help the Trio Sword Lunatic explore the dungeon.

Musashi Osada held his chin as he looked at the mysterious gate and opened his mouth to say something, "But are you sure that this is the third dungeon?"

"We don't know, but this is the third dungeon the Hero League has found! Maybe there are more dungeons out there."

Musashi Naizen replied as he walked next to his grandfather.

"What are you talking about? Let's go in right now, the answer we're looking for is inside!" Musashi Noboru spoke excitedly after he had circled the huge stone gate.

"Hmm, let's go in. I'm also curious to see what's inside the dungeon!" Musashi Osada nodded and agreed with his brother.

With that, the Emperor Class Heroes followed the Trio Sword Lunatic and entered the dungeon.

On the other side of the gate, a new view greeted the group.

It was a flat, dry land with a rather hot temperature. Everyone unconsciously looked up and found a small red sun in the sky.

Sun Zhou Yi was surprised to see the red sun. He had entered the first dungeon and the second dungeon, but this was the first time he had seen a sun, a strange one, a red sun.

"The report said nothing about the red sun. This one is much hotter than the one outside," complained Elazaro Tania, the only woman in the group. She took a shawl from her rucksack and covered her face from the sun's rays.

Elazaro Tania was a woman with red, wavy hair that reached down to her shoulders. She was a beauty in her own right and was known as the Witch. Because of her bizarre ability to awaken, people called her that.

"But the report says that they come here at night. That's why they don't know that there's a sun in here, a red one at that!" Park Jin-Soo commented as he scanned the surroundings.

It was a completely barren land and they were in the middle of a huge flat area.

"Should we split up?" Huo Liang Xun voiced his thoughts as he looked in a certain direction.

If the three old men agreed with him, he would probably go in that direction. After all, splitting up would speed up the investigation.

To everyone's surprise, Musashi Osada rejected the idea of splitting up.

"No! We will not split up! We will stay as a group. We know nothing about this dungeon, and a certain someone advised me not to be careless inside the dungeon. Because whatever is inside the dungeon, it's something that doesn't exist outside! We must be careful!

The certain someone in Musashi Osada's mouth was Heero. Before he came here, he met Heero once. And Heero told him about the dungeon, not in so many details, but basically how dangerous the dungeon was.

"Noboru! Where are we going?" Musashi Osada asked his playful brother.

"There! I think we might find something if we go there!" Musashi Noboru pointed in a certain direction.

There was no detailed explanation or whatsoever as to why he chose that direction. It was as if Noboru had just pointed it out.

Musashi Osada did not question his brother's decision and led the group in the same direction.

"Are you sure they are reliable?" Elazaro Tania asked Sun Zhou Yi, who looked quite innocent compared to the others.

Sun Zhou Yi shook his head and replied blankly, "I don't know, but my master trusts them, so they should be reliable.

After a full two hours' journey across the barren land, the group of ten stopped. The group stood in front of a huge wall.

The huge wall was made of a silver stone. The silver stone was stacked neatly to form a massive wall, over 50 metres high.

"Follow me! The gate is here!" Musashi Noboru led the group to the left. It was as if the old man knew this place.

"Why is he so random? And how does he know where the gate is?" Elazaro Tania asked Sun Zhou Yi, who was standing next to her.

Since the beginning of the journey, the woman had stayed with Sun Zhou Yi and kept some distance from the others.

"I don't know, but..."

"My master trusts them, so they should be reliable," without waiting for Sun Zhou Yi to finish his words, Elazaro Tania finished the sentence herself.

Sun Zhou Yi was surprised and looked at the woman with wide open eyes.

"I didn't read your mind, you stupid block!" Elazaro Tania rolled her eyes and ran after the old man.

Sure enough, five minutes later they came to a massive black steel gate.

The gate was about 25 metres high and closed tightly.

"If there's an enemy, They should be behind this gate! Get ready, I will open the gate!"

Without another word, Musashi Ueno put his hand on the gate.

"So our targets are inside?" Ryong Chong-Shik stood in front of a steel gate with "Heero Preschool" on it.

His friendly and gentle demeanour did not arouse any suspicion. So they arrived safely at the preschool.

"They should be inside," Hanzo Keiji nodded his head.

Swoosh!

In the blink of an eye, the two old men disappeared and appeared inside the preschool. They passed through the gate without attracting attention.

They entered the front playground with various games installed. The playground was also decorated with different kinds of beautiful flowers. More importantly, the two old men found the air inside much more refreshing.

"This place is carefully built! How about we find the designer and ask him to build a place for tea?" Ryong Chong-Shik suggested as he entered the playground.

"That's not a bad idea. But let's discuss it later, we have a mission right now," Hanzo Keiji shook his head at his friend who couldn't concentrate on the main mission.

"Mnn, let's finish the mission first. I don't want that madman Haneul to scold me for failing the mission," Ryong Chong-Shik replied jokingly as he walked towards the main building.

Hanzo Keiji followed, "Do you think he..." he stopped halfway when his friend stopped his steps.

He looked at his friend and asked, "What's wrong?"

What has gotten into his head now? Hanzo Keiji thought.

"Don't you feel strange?" Out of the blue, Ryong Chong-Shik asked something that had nothing to do with the mission.

"Strange? What's strange?"

Ryong Chong-Shik shook his head and smiled, "My old friend, your sense is dulled. You should go outside and maintain your ability!"

"Let me ask you, what is identical to preschool? The answer is children! Next question, what is identical to children?"

Hanzo Keiji frowned and replied, "Noisy!?"

"Bingo bongo. This ia a preschool, there are at least twenty children, but where's the noise? Not only is there no noise, this place is too quiet. Don't you feel strange?"

Ryong Chong-Shik asked with a smile. Even though he found something fishy about the preschool, he still remained calm.

Hanzo Keiji nodded understandingly and replied with a sigh, "You're right. It seems that my sense is dulled, but I am too old to play outside,"

"Then let's play in the city instead. The owner of this place seems to have found out about us!" Ryong Chong-Shik grinned, his eyes fixed on the door of the main building.

There was a figure standing behind the glass door. It was as if the figure was waiting for their arrival.

Hanzo Keiji looked at the door and was surprised. Just as Ryong Chong-Shik had said, Xing Heero was standing behind the glass door.

"It seems that my senses have really dulled! didn't sense him coming!" Hanzo Keiji murmured in a low voice.
