Merlin got the anaesthetic from my head. After making sure that he understood the whole plan, I nodded letting him go.
When Flora came again with Violet and Lilly, I asked them to pack my things. Once they finished the work, I asked them to leave. I wasn't sleeping later. When there were just five more minutes before the clock struck midnight, someone knocked on my door.
I knew it was him... Merlin. I hurried and opened the door and I wasn't wrong. Merlin had somehow made all of them drink that herb.
"Good work," I told him.
"But he is not here. Alastair," Merlin frowned. I knew why he was telling me that. It was Alastair who should be there that day. If he wasn't there, then something was wrong for sure. If he was not there, we can't be careless and wander in the castle since we could come across him anytime. This was the reason I asked for the clothes. The princess shouldn't wander, yes. But the maids can.
