Time flew faster. We received the news from the messenger birds about the first attack on the Eastern border barrack. Afterwards, there was no news. Like I've ordered, the Black Wings would reach the border in a day's time. I wasn't sure if the soldiers at the border would be able to withstand the attacks till they receive backup.
Rangers sending the backup troop still appeared to be very unlikely, even to me. I wished that I was able to blindly trust Victor on this but that was something I must not do. I should not play with the lives of Astranians.
It was once again the hardest day in my rains. On the third morning, it started to rain throughout the Western tropical area including the Riders' castle. It made it impossible for us to send messages through birds. We didn't get any news from the other side either.
