It was obvious that Alastair knew I was hostile towards him. He didn't seem to be very fond of me either. His request rather seemed like a willful start of a conflict. He did neither try to be respectful nor nice. It made me relax. I didn't have to pretend to respect him either.
"We need to talk, Your Grace," he cocked his head to a side. His filler words didn't fail to annoy me. But more than an annoyance, they brought uncertainty to my mind.
We didn't have anything in common to talk about. I didn't want to discuss Athena with him. It made me uneasy. I passed over. "I'm not interested in talking with you," I declared.
"It's about Her Highness. Still not interested?" he carelessly pointed to Athena with his chin then raised one of his brows. I halted on my track. I didn't like that triumphant smile on his face. Still, I had to bear with it since it was about her.
