Our destination was a city called Nettol on the other side of that mountain range. Nettol was a city of great geographical and political importance. It was the second closest city to the Astrana border. The Astrana villages by this town were less populated with vulnerable intrusion paths. Since Nettol was much far away from the capital city of Astrana, the borders were comparatively less protected, making it the best option for the spies.
The common path to Nettol crosses a popular Astrana town. So it wouldn't be a good choice to use this path to reach Nettol as spies. So the mountain route to Nettol was the best option for spies. The Dagresh spies always used this mountain path to reach the city named Nettol. Despite all these favourable factors, the journey across the mountain ridge was not an easy one. It has its disadvantages.
