The next morning, Nilo woke me up early in the morning. My head ached and I was having a hangover.
"Your grace, two soldiers are waiting for you downstairs. That halfwit also there."
"Who? Mason?" I groggily replied as I put my legs down on the bed.
"Yes. He says you've agreed to leave with Her Highness," Nilo spoke as he opened the window and peeked at me.
I sighed. I remembered everything from the night before clearly. So there wasn't much for me to reply to.
"Can I follow you too?" he looked at me expectantly. Nilo was an orphan who had been staying with me till he is twelve. He had this habit of following from back then. He followed in my path and joined the spy network. When I was assigned the risky mission in Astrana, he followed me there as well.
"If you want to," I said as I got off the bed. He faintly smiled. I opened the cupboard and pulled out a few of my tunics and trousers. "I'll go pack my stuff as well," Nilo turned around.
