"The wrestling ground was prepared and every man was fully ready, I was doubting my energy because I was alone, but my father will always tell me when you stand alone you stand strong, I conquered the clan and I was crowned the king and the great warrior but some the people were bittered this led to discrimpancy, some of the people were for me and some against me."
There was a huge clash and we defited them, this led to murder of many souls just for us to gain the land and we were victorous. The war resulted in destruction of our crops excluding a coconut tree which flourished and gave us fruits to eat.
One of Zomuda's sons asked my king what now happened to the people you left? Oh! Later they came looking for me that my stepmother was the problem, she had been killed and your father our king is dead and we have no king please follow us one of them pleaded with me. I sympathised with them but it was late because I have a kingdom of my own and I am of age too, so what happened father, I sent one of you to be their king, you are so intelligent my father, bless you my son Zomuda said with a smiling face to his child.
Zomuda lived for 102years and died honourably and he had a befitting burial from his people. The boy who asked about his former kingdom was king Keith, your father sir poker told king Hala, being a good man he immortalised his two brothers that died early which are the two largest quarters in the kingdom. And Zomuda ordered his people to pay homage to the coconut tree that mercifully fed them in time of their want and drought. That's how the coconut tree came to existence, my king.
Hala was bathed with a smile as he listened to the story of his legendary ancestors, he forgot his ego and erupted into clapping in a standing ovation. The men around were full of joy and enthusiasm as they hailed him. May you leave long your majesty!!!
"So what are we going to do now?"
I realise Zomuda is a great kingdom and we must follow set down rules and regulations governing her. We shall commence the fest for the coconut tree and from henceforth we shall call it the fest of fruitfulness.
"We shall give special decoration to the tree and make its fruits available for us all.
It shall be a compulsory celebration for everybody, any defaulter shall be killed in any form."
Bu….but… b..uh. My king! I have spoken and no one dares to challenge the lion, immediately the joyous atmosphere was painted with heavy faces.
Any objection? No your majesty, you may go home till another seating day. Every man went home humming.
King Hala hurried in to see her sick mother, are you fine mother?
"A…..m…..am fine, she replied with a weak voice," you are getting me worried mother, "what should I do for you?" You know how precious you are to me. Please stay with me, what do you want? go away from me now she said, mother who are you talking to? My king tell the diviner to go.
"I don't understand what you are saying, he is here with your father," Hala was a little bit nervous, you mean you are seeing father here? "Yes I can see him, there is fire in his eyes and blood in the mouth of the diviner." They have gone, she said. Does it mean my mother has been served her evil deeds? Hala asked himself. Being a brave king he needed to attend to the issue on ground but nothing he could do.
He was without food the whole day because his appetite neglected him, the night became long as he washed over his mother, the toad does not run recklessly in the day, either something is chasing it or it's after something. This thought flashes his mind as he recalls his mother's words to the ghost of his father King Keith and the diviner.
The oldest man in the kingdom came to see her, "let the skeleton in your cupboard out, this is the only antidote to your ailment he told her." It became late because her strength was simultaneously leaving her, she shook her head against the advice.
Do it and live, she tried to get the man to herself and strangle him, despite her poor state, as she tried to raised alarm to his son the man suddenly changed to his husband and went into the air, ah!!!!..... No!!!!!! She wrestled to say.
Her mind flashes like lightening, tell the people the truth and lives, I can't she battle with her conscience. "My Queen are you okay?" Her maide inquired, she smiled softly and gave up the ghost.
The maiden was fidgeting at the same time as she raised alarm with her voice almost pulling down the roof. Everybody rushed in but the king wasn't nervous.
My mentor is gone and I must keep the dies rolling, he said as tears slowly descends down his cheek. He sent everyone out of the room and spoke to the deceased: now I shall be a thorn in the flesh of Zomuda people, my only hope is gone, I shall make them have mouth full of stones everyday because they helped me not in my days of need, heads will follow my mother to her grave, I have spoken!!!!!!!
His voice echoed like thunder and all the Palace maids and guards trembled.
The news was rapidly disseminated into the town, the peoples sympathised and rejoiced simultaneously in a cold way. The king's men rushed to the Palace with both hand and leg, they all put on a cry to save their life on their expenditure to the Palace to sympathise with the king, the villagers came for way keep everywhere was emitting sorrow with noise of lamentations.
There was nobody to console each other as the cry waxed stronger. Most of the people spent the night outside the Palace but the king's heart was for his terrible plan. He sneaks into his chamber, and wept bitterly.
