From the notes that Gyatri found, he understood that the invulnerability granted to Immortal at the early days was the same as the one in his memory. While his immortality was similar to what happened to his race after they became servants of the great entity which promised them eternity.
Which made it more apparent that the connection between the two might be stronger than he had previously assumed.
But this gave him an advantage as well, if his memory serves him right.
There might not be a way to directly kill Immortal if he played his cards correctly. Though it would be more than just a simple death.
