Alfin was not used to compliments, at least not from the people that were close to him. Because as it was, rarely do people like his true nature after they came to understand him.
To most, he was just the brother of Gyatri and his accomplishments could also never match up to his greatness.
So this small compliment from someone that was close actually mattered a lot, making the muscles of Alfin's face loosen up under embarrassment.
"Oh yes, I already know about what the alternate future holds for me." Tarkov then laughed in his own embarrassment, recalling Alfin's earlier words on what he did and how General Wilkis made an example out of him by brutally torturing him in front of countless players.
'Sadly, that future won't come to pass anymore.'
"Well let's not talk about the future like that, too many people here with too sensitive ears," Alfin explained, wishing for normality to be back among the two.
