In a small cave who knew how deep. There was the figure of a woman dragging the body of an injured man, who barely seemed alive.
Half of his body burned, along with losing one of his hands, it was a miracle that this man was alive.
"Why did you do this…." The woman cried, recalling the scene in which this man had jumped toward her before the blast, shielding away most of the damage.
Even with his mutant powers disabled, the man had human vitality that kept him barely alive. But that was all his body could handle against explosives that were built specifically to destroy his body.
The only reason he even survived was due to his proper ascension to grade three.
"You didn't have to do this…" She cried, waiting for an answer that never arrived, she only felt a faint pulse from the man's body. So faint that it might disappear any moment.
"I need to find help… fast." She summarized her situation and where she was.
