CHAPTER 1

"I permit you... to drop the bomb... over!" The soldier valiantly said before leaning his back on the wall lighting up a cigarette and smoking it he then raised his head to look at the distant sky as a sigh escaped his mouth.
"Darn it... Maybe I'm just meant to be lonely..." He said before looking ahead there he saw a group of fleeing terrorists his lips suddenly began to curve.
"Heh... Ahahaha! Sayonara bitches!" He wickedly laughed.
Not before long white light instantly engulfed his vision ending his life in an instant.
~~~~
Everywhere was glowing white.
A place where you couldn't see what was ahead.
"Hey, do you want to gacha to the place that you knew or the place that you don't know?"
God who had the figure of a little girl asked just the same thing she asked before.
"Yeah... I'd like to ask about that first, did you also give me a gacha before?" The man curiously asked
"That wasn't me it was another God the one who turned it."
"What was the result then?"
"I don't know I was not the one who turned it before but based on how your life had been it was probably uncommon,
In other words, it was not normal."
The man looked at the supposed 'God' dead in the eyes before talking "I only have a faint of my memory that I can still remember and I can tell it was awful..."
God looked slightly surprised for a second before regaining her normal expression.
"I'm surprised you remember that much normally people won't be able to remember that much, anyway that's uncommon alright, it could be uncommonly good or uncommonly bad, but you did change it from a bad one to a good one."
"That's right..." The man murmured and held his head as if trying to remember something before proceeding to ask
"well, what if it's rare?"
"If it was rare in you're previous world you might have been a president of a multinational company making a ton of money or maybe a very handsome and popular celebrity.
If it was super rare it's possible that you would've been a child of a pretty big oil tycoon and there's ultra and secret ones."
"Woah..." The man was taken aback.
"So does that mean that everyone's standing in society is determined by this 'Gacha' "
"No being her and turning the gacha is special that only the ones that are chosen by a god can do does that answer your question?"
The man nodded.
"In your case since your cause of death was a noble yet lonesome one, I'll guarantee at least a rare gacha as a service."
"My cause of death...?" He held his head to try and remember his death but he didn't remember it.
"Don't fret it would be impossible for you to remember that far unless you're a
God or a celestial being you were only able to remember little detail about your previous life because you have a stronger soul essence than normal."
(I see certainly I can't even recall what my name was... my cause of death I wonder what it was.' He thought.)
"You were a captain of an elite special force of a certain country in your previous life you Rose from the ranks and became a high ranking military official and in a highly important operation that threatened the whole world, you were betrayed by your team and everything went terribly wrong you did everything you can for the mission to still succeed, and in the end, the mission did succeed though it cost you your life."
"Hm... Well, I guess it's not a bad way to die... By the way, you can read my mind can't you?"
"Umu I can but do not worry it is not in my character to pry on other people's personal stuff"
The man just shrugged it off cause he knew there wasn't any reason to hide any of his memory and his thoughts he can't even remember his memory clearly and there wasn't anything he can do about it.
'I got high hopes for my next life, this time I'll live my life to the fullest' he optimistically thought.
"So do you want to gacha in the place that you knew or do you want to turn the gacha for a place you don't know?"
"Where would it be for the latter?"
"I think if I said it's your usual fantasy world you'd easily understand"
"Does that mean there are monsters and magic...?" He who looked always calm suddenly became excited and more interested he may look very manly with his muscular build and all of his tattoos but the truth was he was a big nerd inside.
"Umu by the way a status system has been established so it's convenient now."
"Anyway, We've talked too much there's not much time left."
Without any hesitation, the man answered "Alright, I'll pick the latter."
God flicked her fingers and a gacha machine materialized out of thin air,
"Here take this token and play it, it's a token with a guaranteed rare and has a higher chance to get the super, ultra, and secret ones."
God then passed the golden token to him.
"Hmm..." He stared at the token before putting the token in the gacha machine.
'I don't feel like there's anything special though he thought while he turned the crank.
*Ping*
Then a golden-colored capsule came out of the gacha machine which he held.
"Ohh... It's a golden capsule." He said with a faint of excitement in his eyes.
'This is definitely not rare. Maybe it's an ultra-rare! Or even a secret one...' He thought.
"Well, every capsule is a golden capsule."
"Way to spoil my mood..."
"Well come down why don't you try opening it."
"Ahh you're right" he then proceeded to open it.
The moment he opened it a piece of paper was inside, it was like a fortune cookie and the thing that was written on it was...
"Devourer... What's that? Is it a hit?" He asked
"...How lucky it is a hit and it's a Super-rare."
The man looked at the golden capsule and then at the gacha machine before talking.
"But in this normal-sized gacha machine, it won't be surprising to get a super-rare."
"No it's super-rare alright even if the gacha machine looks like that Inside it you could fit two football fields moreover, there are only two super-rare ones...."
"....You said it has a higher drop rate for the good ones but it can't even be could a 'lower drop rate...."
"Well normally there is only one super-rare but because of the higher drop rate it became two"
The man sighed "That is simply unfair, that's almost impossible to get..."
"That's why I'm surprised."
"Alright... Anyway, what does this 'devourer skill do?" The man asked.
"It is a skill just like its name it devours anything in the physical and spiritual realm well, you will learn more once you try it."
"I'll do so." He said while nodding.
(Even just by listening to her tone, I could tell it's Op'.) he thought
"It is, and there is also a bonus skill called {Skill Conceal, and Appraisal} for super-rares"
(Hmm will that makes sense, with a skill this powerful it would cause a lot of trouble if people find out) He mused.
"Well your wrong and at the same time right yes I gave you the {Skill conceal} to hide the {Devourer} skill but the freebie was actually the appraisal, I gave you the {Skill conceal} since you just need to have it since the {Devour skill} would cause you a lot of trouble without it."
"You'll know once you use it," The Goddess said.
The man was pleasantly surprised to get another two skills without doing anything but quickly recovered.
"A-are you sure? is it really free?" The man said warily.
"Of course, it is are you even listening to me?" The Goddess said slightly irritated.
"Ah, S-sorry.." The man apologized " It's just it's way too good of a deal.."
The Goddess smiled "Don't worry about it just consider it as a parting gift ok?" The Goddess said cutely.
The man became slightly flustered by the cuteness of the Goddess but quickly recovered.
"Y-yes thank you" The man gave his thanks.
"...Anyway it's about time."
"Really? I feel like we haven't been talking that long"
"That's true, but you might not feel it you've been here for five years."
"Eh... That long?"
"Yeah, so you better get going."
"Then I'll be off also I thank you for giving me a second chance to live my life." He said as he bow.
"Then I'll accept that," The Goddess smiled
"May your life be filled with blessings." She said elegantly while she raised her hand.
The man smiled and nodded at her as a last farewell then a bright white light enveloped his body turning him into light particles that made him disappear leaving God all alone.
"Good grief... I wasn't expecting for him to get a super-rare one but he somehow got it huh... well I think it's a good thing he'll need it anyway." She sighed and opened a portal leading to a room similar to a room of a hardcore neet.
