Oppressive silence weighed down inside the office. Lu Yizhou looked at Moshe's agitated state and couldn't help letting out a sigh. Slowly, all the while maintaining eye contact, he reached out toward Moshe's hand and led him to sit on the couch. They would need to sit if they were going to have a lengthy talk.
"It's never my intention to keep you in the dark." Lu Yizhou clasped Moshe's hand in his lap and rubbed his knuckles, uncertain whether it was to comfort Moshe or himself. Maybe both. "I was afraid that you would be… overwhelmed by the amount of information you have to digest. I shouldn't have assumed that. It's my fault."
